Wellington’s Westpac Stadium is turning 20 next year and to mark the occasion an exhibition named the Heritage Walk will be created in the public concourse to showcase the milestones, moments and personalities from the last 20 years.
The exhibition will be located between Aisles 17-20 on the Stadium’s concourse and will include a timeline of events, team achievements, entertainment and a favourite sporting moments and favourite personalities section as voted by the public.
To bring the exhibition to life, Westpac Stadium is asking the public to vote for their favourite moments and personalities to help shape what will be in the exhibition. Two shortlists of 30 moments and 30 personalities have been selected with help from a panel of prominent sports journalists.
Said Westpac Stadium CEO Shane Harmon “There are so many moments and people that have contributed to the Stadium’s history. It was important to create a list that highlights the variety of events we hold here at Westpac Stadium and the impact each event can have on a person”.
Wellingtonians are encouraged to vote for their top 10 sporting moments and personalities. The top 10 from each poll will feature in the Heritage Walk which will open to the public early next year. Everyone that votes can also entry the draw to win the ‘Golden Ticket’ which includes two tickets to every sporting event at the Stadium in 2020. Terms and Conditions apply.
