Rock music fans, get ready to witness the concert of the century here in Wellington this February 2017!

Founder Axl Rose and former members, Slash and Duff McKagan have regrouped for one of the century's most anticipated events - Not in this Lifetime mammoth stadium tour. This is the first time they've played together for New Zealand fans since their infamous 1993 Use Your Illusion tour.

Currently touring the US and South America before heading to Australasia in February 2017, Rolling Stone said: "This was the real thing, the thing we'd all been waiting for: the triumphant return of one of the most important bands to cross rock music history. And it happened in our lifetime."

Legendary Australian band 'Wolfmother' have been confirmed as special guests on the New Zealand tour.

CONCERT INFORMATION

We want to make sure you're all ready to rock on the night with as little stress as possible so we've put together a handy information sheet providing concert details at a glance.

  • Those situated on the field are advised that water bottles will not be permitted to be brought into the venue. Please leave these at home. Plenty of cups will be available at water stations and catering outlets. At the Tour's request you may be asked to decant all bottled beverages into plastic cups when entering the field.
  • The decanting policy applies as follows:

    VIP PIT/DIAMOND GA: All beverages are to be decanted. Please leave personal water bottles at home.

    DIAMOND RESERVED/PREMIUM RESERVED (FIELD)/GOLD GA: All alcoholic beverages are to be decanted. Other beverages – caps removed.

    BOWL SEATED AREAS: Decanting policy does not apply.  

  • At the request of the Tour there is a strict no professional camera and recording policy at this show. This includes extendable camera lenses, Go Pro’s, commercial video equipment, recording devices, tripods, and monopods.  Staff will, at their sole discretion, determine whether an item may be in breach of this policy. Please contact us ahead of the show if you wish to query any equipment you intend to bring. 
  • Please read your ticket carefully. Those situated on the Stadium field will require a wristband to access this area, these are issued at the gates (once you have passed through the turnstiles). 
  • Please note signage on the way into the venue and choose your lane early. Those seated in the Stadium seating bowl keep right when approaching the gates. Those situated on the field, keep left. 
  • In accordance with Westpac Stadium’s Emergency Response and Evacuation Plan regrettably wheelchairs are not permitted on the field. If you are in a wheelchair and have purchased a field ticket, please contact Ticketek (0800 842 538) or visit the wheelchair window at ticket booth 1 on the night. 
  • Please note that this show involves the use of heavy strobes and pyrotechnics, please take extra care if you are sensitive to these.
  • Please note high heels are not permitted on the field - we recommend flat shoes.

STADIUM CAR PARK

The car park will be closed for standard commuter car parking on Thursday 2 February. It will however open at 1.00pm for this event at a cost of $30 (please note there is a fee for paying by credit card or eftpos of .60c) - limited capacity.

GETTING TO AND FROM THE STADIUM

Make sure you check transport routes in advance and leave plenty of time for your travel to Westpac Stadium so you can kick back and enjoy the show. A traffic management plan is in place on the night:

  • If you are wishing to drop-off on the night we encourage you to use Thorndon Quay, Bunny St or Hinemoa St.
  • People movers will be operating on the Fran Wilde Walkway from 4.00pm.
  • Road closures will be in place from 9.00pm
  • No vehicles are permitted to enter the Stadium to pick-up at the end of the show.
  • Both Southbound and Northbound turning lanes into the Stadium will be closed. Alternative pick-up locations are at Bunny St, Thorndon Quay and Hinemoa St.
