Wellington Phoenix v Central Coast Mariners

Sat, 25 Nov 2017

Review

Wellington Phoenix have fallen to a heavy 4-1 defeat to Central Coast Mariners on a balmy evening at Westpac Stadium.

The home side came into the game refreshed after a week off following their postponed away tie with Western Sydney Wanderers but it was the visiting Mariners side who appeared the fresher, outfighting and outrunning their hosts.

The Phoenix will have an immediate opportunity to get back to winning ways next Sunday when they take on Melbourne Victory at Westpac Stadium.

Event Information

Round 8. Wellington Phoenix start their second decade as NZ’s only professional football club, and with new head coach Darije Kalezic at the helm one thing’s for sure, the boys will be up for the fight.

There are six new signings led by Socceroo Dario Vidosic and Serbian international Andrjia Kaludjerovic, plus all your old favourites – Roy Krishna, Gui Finkler, and who else – skipper Andrew Durante in his 10th season with the club.

Come experience the action, live at Westpac Stadium - it's where memories are made.
